Key milestones
MDHHS suspended new placements into Vista Maria’s residential treatment facilities for three months while corrective actions were required.
Michigan investigators documented violations involving resident care, restraints, seclusion, staffing, training and other requirements.
Former residents organized with attorneys, moving their allegations toward formal legal action.
